Travel Soccer – South County Athletic Association (SCAA)

Join one of the most respected and player-focused travel soccer programs in Fairfax County. At SCAA, we’re committed to developing skilled, confident, and passionate young athletes through expert coaching, competitive play, and a supportive community environment. Whether you're a returning player or new to travel soccer, our program emphasizes individual growth, teamwork, tactical awareness, and fun on the field.

Section 1: Spring Season Information

Spring Season – Kicks Off Approximately April 11, 2026

Mid-Season Tryouts

- Dates:

2016-2018 Girls 3/25 SCHS Grass behind track 5:45 - 7:15P

- Location: South County Middle School (dress for weather conditions)

Tryout Details:

- Arrive at least 15 minutes early for check-in and warm-up.

- Bring: Signed waiver, water bottle, and your own soccer ball.

- Format: Skills assessments (dribbling, passing, shooting), small-sided games, and fitness drills.

- Who should attend: All interested players U9–U18 – both returning and new players must attend at least one session to be considered.

- What to wear: Athletic clothing, shin guards, cleats, and weather-appropriate layers.

Team Selections: Notifications will be sent via email within three days of the final tryout session.

Practices:

- Location: South County Middle School

- Schedule: Tuesdays 7:30 PM – 8:45 PM | Fridays 5:45 PM – 9:00 PM (March–May)

Our experienced coaching staff provides personalized guidance, technical training, and tactical insights to help every player reach their full potential. We foster a positive, growth-oriented environment with regular feedback and opportunities to build both individual skills and team chemistry.

Parent Involvement: Parents are welcome at games and encouraged to support their athletes. We’ll schedule occasional parent meetings to share progress updates and answer questions.

Weather Policy: Sessions proceed as scheduled unless severe weather forces cancellation. Updates will be shared promptly via email and the team app.

Games: Scheduled on Saturdays and Sundays (times and locations TBD ).

- Winter/Indoor Season – Starts approximately December 12, 2026

- Tryouts: December 8 & 10, 2026 (6:00 PM – 8:00 PM)

- Summer Developmental Program – Starts approximately June 14, 2026

- Practices: Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays

- Times: 5:30 PM – 7:15 PM and 7:30 PM – 8:45 PM (June–August)

- Location: South County Middle School

Section 3: Summer Developmental Program & Camps

Keep the momentum going all summer long with our exciting Summer Developmental Program. Designed to maintain skills, build confidence, and keep players engaged without overwhelming schedules, this program offers flexible, high-quality training in a fun, low-pressure environment.

Summer:

Join our Summer Developmental sessions for consistent training and player improvement.

- Days: Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays

- Times: 5:30 PM – 7:15 PM and 7:30 PM – 8:45 PM

- Dates: June through August

- Location: South County Middle School

Specialty Camps: Coming soon – four focused camps to target key areas of the game:

- Ball Handling Camp

- Scoring Camp

- Defense Camp

- Goalie Camp

The Summer Developmental Program emphasizes individual growth, teamwork, technique, tactics, and fitness – all led by dedicated coaches who care about each player's progress.
