07 Green VYSA write up
One of our notable newcomers is
South County Athletic Association
(SCAA) 07 Green, coached by Alex Pinto, an assistant coach for the 2003 Boys
Virginia ODP
team. SCAA Team Manager, Michael Potts said “…it’s new to myself and the players. We are all looking forward to the experience”.
SCAA’s preparation for this competition has been nothing less than adequate, Potts added “In addition to our normal pre-season training, we have played in the Arlington ASIST tournament and the McLean Premier Cup as preparation. In our practices we continue to work on our fundamentals, with additional emphasis on fitness knowing that we will have back-to-back games some weekends (State Cup and NCSL).” The team is “looking forward to playing against some of the best teams in Virginia, and seeing where we are, and where we need to be as the boys continue to train and grow as players and as a team.”
